A full time position is open as part of a multi-laboratory collaboration at Champalimaud Research, for a technician in animal behavior. The selected candidate will be part of a team of scientists studying the influence of prior expectations on sensory processing in mice.
The main responsibilities associated with the position will be (i) to implement and oversee behavioral paradigms which use psychophysical methods to study the effect of priors on perception in the brain, (ii) the maintenance of the associated equipment in terms of software and hardware, and (iii) to perform quantitative analyses of behavior.
We are seeking candidates who are reliable, strongly motivated and eager to work in teams. Knowledge of programming will be highly valued.
Candidates should have an MSc and will receive a PhD level compatible stipend. The ideal candidate would have experience with design and maintenance of instrumentation and an interest in the quantitative analysis of animal behavior.
