    h2. Research technician position available in the “Behavior and Metabolim” laboratory of the Champalimaud Research Programme in Lisbon, Portugal

    Do you want to work in an international and dynamic team using the newest genetic and molecular technologies to analyze how complex biological phenomena such as metabolism and behavior are controlled in a living animal? Are you fascinated by the question of how neuronal circuits and the microbiome guide behavioral decisions and nutrition? Do you want to play a pivotal role in the research life of people? Then this might be something for you!

    Your tasks:

    We are looking for a research technician to perform behavioral assays, assist in gene targeting, and participate in genetic screens. You will get trained in genetic, molecular, behavioral, and microbiome techniques and work in the “behavior and metabolism” group of the Champalimaud Research Programme in Lisbon, Portugal.

    Your qualifications:

    A bachelors or master’s degree in science, a focused, well-organized and very reliable working style, motivation and interest for science, very good interpersonal skills, the desire to learn new techniques and the ability to work as part of a team are essential. Experience in Drosophila husbandry are a plus but is not
    required. Good English skills are essential.
